If each family hosts a gathering of 10 people, twice a year, that's potentially 40,000 plastic plates, 40,000 plastic cups, and 40,000 sets of plastic cutlery being added to landfill every year. 120,000 pieces of disposable plastic from one suburb. Every year. We have the power to change this. You can make a difference.

I am a mum of three little people, a secondary school teacher, and a passionate environmentalist. I love throwing birthday parties for my kids but I hate the waste they create. I knew that there had to be a better way, and I now hope to share my ideas for hosting parties with all of the fun but none of the waste with the Brisbane community. Together we can really make an impact!
